To My Clients and Friends

I started DiGiorgi Piano Service in May of 1984 from scratch with one customer. In the nearly thirty years since then, I have had the privilege of tuning for over twenty-five hundred accounts. Many of those are private individuals, while others are school districts, churches, places of business, private colleges, and state universities. It is amazing how much has changed over the years. When I first started, my "client database" consisted of a metal index card file and a stack of index cards. I remember feeling pretty special when my client list outgrew a single index card file and spilled over into a new one!

Of course, technology is not the only thing that has changed over thirty years. Life has changed too, as have its circumstances.

DiGiorgi Piano Service Has Ceased Operations

Over the past year, I developed a very painful and alarming issue with the hand I use for tuning. The repetitive action of pounding on piano keys with the same two fingers every day for thirty years has taken its toll. If I were to continue, I would risk causing even further damage; damage that could interfere with my ability to play the piano. I’m not willing to take that risk, as playing the piano means very much to me. It is with that in mind that I am announcing that I will no longer be tuning pianos.

To all of you who supported my business over the years, I offer my sincere gratitude. It was an honor to be trusted to provide your instruments with professional service, and I am also blessed to have developed many friendships as well. Thank you for understanding why I must take this step.

I’m Staying In New Castle

I am remaining in the New Castle area and look forward to new endeavors and ventures, all of which will be chronicled at my other website, lorendigiorgi.com.

I’ve created a Frequent Questions Page if you’d like more information.

Thank you, and God bless!
