I’ve had a lifelong love for the piano. Starting at the age of three when I first climbed atop the piano bench and picked out my first melodies by ear, I’ve been playing and composing music.
I began studies of classical piano at age 5 and continued through high school, performing for many functions, concerts, and civic events along the way. While in high school, I started tuning and repairing the grand piano I grew up playing, and thus began a new journey of learning the instrument from the other side, so to speak. In addition to being a piano technician, I continue to perform professionally and have had eleven of my compositions signed to a music publisher in England.
My experience as a performer and pianist give me a very acute sense of how a piano should sound to the listener and respond to the pianist, and I bring this experience to every piano I tune and service. My goal is to preserve these wonderful and beautiful acoustic instruments and make them sound and play their very best. I am an Associate Member of the Piano Technicians Guild, and a member of Master Piano Technicians of America. I regularly receive journals and technical materials from both organizations to stay informed of new and better methods of tuning and servicing pianos. I am also recognized as a certified Dampp-Chaser Piano Lifesaver® installer.
